Invite only PSA Grading

Hello! We do invite-only PSA grading. If you have been invited (congrats!) the terms of grading are on this page. Please read and understand the risks.

  1. We charge $3 per card for labor on top of all other costs.
  2. Costs are in two buckets: shipping and PSA costs. We use USPS Priority to ship to PSA and insure the package for the raw value of the cards. PSA covers return ship insurance.
    1. PSA fees are based on the expected grade of the card. We have to guess. You can check here. In general, TCG cards start in the $14-18 range per card and sports cards start in the $19-20 range. More expensive cards will cost more.
    2. Shipping fees to PSA are usually $2-4 per card.
    3. So you are probably looking at $20-28 per card to grade depending on specifics. More if your cards are valuable.
  3. As part of our $3 fee we will evaluate your cards and "prep" them for grading. We will give you some advice on what to grade and what not to grade. If we do not think cards will grade well we can not send them for you. The $3 fee still applies even if the card is not sent for grading, because we are doing work.
  4. Stuff gets stolen in the card world. Out of the ~40 packages we have sent to PSA, 1 has been stolen. This was stolen via FedEx and that is why we do not use FedEx anymore. PSA confirmed to us that tons of FedEx packages get stolen.
    1. If a package gets stolen, we will only reimburse you if and when an insurance claim is paid.
    2. This means in the case of insurance claim denial, you may lose your cards and get no money back.
    3. If an insurance claim is paid, you will be paid for the raw value of the cards as listed when cards are submitted. We are not responsible for market changes in value over time.
    4. This happened to us when our package got stolen. FedEx insurance denied the claim because PSA accepted the package, and PSA denied the claim because they said the package was empty on arrival.
    5. Companies structure their insurance policies to minimize payments, so if something gets stolen your chance of losing the cards and getting no insurance payout is high.
    6. This is a risk we take when we grade cards, and it is a risk you are taking as well. Please be sure you understand this risk.
    7. By agreeing to grade with us, you understand that we are not responsible for covering any amount that insurance does not cover.
  5. Grading with PSA takes a long time. It can take up to 2 months just at PSA and with shipping on both ends you may have to wait up to 3 months.
    1. Make sure you understand this. We cannot guarantee that cards will be back on any specific timeline.
    2. Please do not pester us about when cards will be back, we do not know.
    3. We only send cards to PSA when we have a critical mass of cards (usually 20 but sometimes more). If you provide us with fewer than 20 cards, we may wait until we have 20 gradable cards before submitting.
    4. This may extend the timeline longer. We will inform you of this, but please understand that grading is on our schedule.
  6. Grading with PSA is uncertain. We cannot guarantee you any grade. We are not responsible if a card does not grade as well as you expected. Any advice we give you is not a promise that the outcome will happen.
    1. Getting a PSA 10 is very hard. A card has to be nearly perfect. We can give you our best guess but that's it—we do not control how PSA sees things.
    2. This means you may spend money grading cards, get grades lower than you expected, and lose money. Please make sure you understand this risk.
    3. We are not responsible for this risk, you are taking this risk.
